Respect Life Ministries ~ Diocese of Amarillo
Human Life is a sacred gift from God. Diocese of Amarillo Respect Life Ministries seeks to foster and promote respect for all human life from conception to natural death through prayer, programs, and projects.
Prayer: Weekly Masses for the intention of respect for life and weekly prayer vigils outside Planned Parenthood centers in the diocese have a dramatic impact on attitudes about the sanctity of life. 806-678-HOPE.
Education and Advocacy: Chastity education for families and pro-life programs inspire respect for life and reveal the tragedy of abortion. Respect Life Ministries advocates for the enactment of public policy to bring about full protection for the right to life. 806-678-HOPE.
Pregnancy Support: The Blessing Blanket project of Life Network, Inc., makes beautiful receiving blankets, which are given to expectant moms through crisis pregnancy centers, to help assure them of God’s love for them and the precious children they carry. The love and prayers that these blankets convey to moms in crisis help to save lives. 806-354-0624.
Gabriel’s Outreach is a pastoral outreach offering assistance to those who are pregnant and in need. 806-678-HOPE.
Healing after Abortion: Rachel’s Vineyard provides an opportunity for reconciliation with God, self, and family members after abortion. Rachel’s Vineyard is a weekend healing retreat where Christ pours out his love and healing on the broken-hearted. Natural Family Planning: Learning to attain or postpone pregnancy in harmony with God’s plan through fertility awareness enriches marriages, strengthens faith, dramatically lowers divorce rates, and helps women avoid health risks associated with contraceptives. Contact Faye at 806-358-2880.
